<div style=”transition: none 0s ease 0s; display: block;” data-rss-type=”text”> n n It’s the season where I start reflecting on all the growth and change from this past year, as well as my goals and aspirations for next year. 2020 has had SO many challenges, but we’re still here! We’re still doing it! I am so proud of what I have overcome this year, and you should be proud of yourself, too. n n <div> n <br/> n </div> n <div> n n Are there some changes you’ve made this year that you would like to continue into this next year? Has the pandemic encouraged you to check in more frequently with loved ones? Spend more time outside? Learn to cook? n n </div> n <div> n <br/> n </div> n <div> n n Are those some things you would like to continue doing in 2021? n n </div> n <div> n <br/> n </div> n <div> n n Here are some tips for writing the perfect New Year’s resolution that you can stick with all year, not just for the first week of January! n n </div> n <div> n <br/> n </div> n <div> n <b> n n 1. Focus on YOU!n n </b> n n n n <span style=”background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);”> n n Your resolution is something that YOU want to include in your life. As the character Aaron Burr, in the musical Hamilton says, “I am the one thing in life I can control”. Make sure your resolution is something you can control, and won’t be directly impacted by others. n n </span> n </div> n <div> n <br/> n </div> n <div> n <b> n n 2. Make it specific and measurable. n n </b> n <span style=”background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);”> n n Your goal should be something you can measure. Rather than, “go for more walks”, make it something like, “walk at least 3 days a week”. That way you’ll be able to hold yourself truly accountable for making it happen! n n </span> n </div> n <div> n <br/> n </div> n <div> n <b> n n 3. Choose something relevant. n n </b> n <span style=”background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);”> n n A quick google search shows tons of New Year’s resolutions that other people have come up with. But the important thing is to come up with something that really matters to you. Take some time to evaluate what changes you want to see in your life and go from there. n n </span> n </div> n <div> n <br/> n </div> n <div> n <b> n n 4. Write them down!n n </b> n n Even if nobody else ever sees your resolutions, writing them down makes them so much more real. Consider choosing a theme.n n </b> n n Rather than writing one resolution, create a theme for the month or year. Make January the, “month of art”, or 2021 the, “year of tidying up”.
